The Vanishing Tribes of Burma

In 1972 I set out for Japan, and started my love affair with life. I painted, and sold those paintings to Yakuza. I plunged into the depths of Burma, now known as Myanmar, looking for gemstones, and came out with something more valuable than blood red rubies; I came back with photographs of Burmese hill tribes, before their culture would irrevocably vanish in the onslaught of modern times. And then I settled in Thailand, to paint, write and take photographs.

My adventures are far from over.
